Class 2 has pupils from years 1 and years 2. To help children move smoothly from reception to Key Stage 1 we work closely with the reception teacher in joint ventures. We base our work around termly topics and try to include as many visits or visitors as possible to stimulate the child's enthusiasm for learning.

Friday 15th March 2019 - We were very lucky today to have a visit from Gozo the hospice dog.  Gozo is a therapy dog who visits the North Devon Hospice.

Class 2 had great fun on World Book Day dressing up as characters from Traditional Tales.

We were very lucky to have some parents and grandparents come in to read stories to the children.

Class 2 have been following the progress of Pete Thompson. He has been raising money for charity. He has recently run 44 marathons in 44 consecutive days in 44 countries in Europe! He has inspired our Class as we tracked his running in each country. We wrote cards to congratulate him on his achievement. The children were thrilled to receive a letter back from Pete and one of his running shirts. Pete congratulated our Class on their marathon running and going for their goals!

Class 2 have  been doing lots of fun activities during their Forest School session with Mrs Pierson.
